I’ve been floored time and time and time again how much provision is met. God is showing Himself off through us, believers and non-believers and it is so freakin’ fun! I had the opportunity to share at a group called FaithMoms today. If anyone knows me personally, they know my MO is giving roses. I was asked to provide a sheet with information on it, after a day of not knowing what to write, the Holy Spirit gently nudged, “Buy roses for the women” with a scripture attached. My earthly mindset is, Lord, I am a missionary now, I can’t go spending money like that. The kingdom mindset is obeying God and allowing Him to provide.
I walk into Price Chopper, seeing if they have any deals, also talking to someone about it. Nothing. I then just felt a pull to go into Trader Joe’s. I prayed before going into the parking lot and said, ok Lord, I’m believing You for provision. I find the florist and tell her what I need the roses for. After some thought, she goes, “let me take you in the back”. She hands me more than 50 roses, FREE OF CHARGE! Why not? Why can’t we believe for more? He’s called the God of the impossible, and with Jesus, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!
I shared my story a bit on our radical faith journey. Also touched on as subject near and dear to my heart, renewing the mind. I attached Romans 12:2 on each flower, “Do not be conformed by the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds, then you will be able to approve and test what God’s will is, His good, pleasing and perfect will”. I also wrote “so loved” on each flower to remind each woman how loved they are by God. Each woman got to take a beautiful rose home provided by God.
Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! (Matthew 7: 9-11)
This is a lovely story. I so wish I could be in attendance. Please invite me next time you share locally.
